Terms of Service
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the official digital registry and casting platform of the Syndicate of Actors in Lebanon. By using the platform or creating an account, you agree to what follows.
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This is a draft pending the syndicate's approval and legal review.
1. What this service is
The platform is the official digital registry of the members of the Syndicate of Actors in Lebanon (established 1948) and a casting platform that lets verified casting directors search that registry. The syndicate operates the service as the professional body responsible for it, while its technical partner handles the software, operations and billing.
Each member actor receives a structured, multilingual profile they manage themselves, and verified casting directors can access additional professional information that is not shown to the public after their identity is confirmed.
2. Who may use it (eligibility and minors)
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. People under 13 may not self-register under any circumstances; a guardian who wishes to list a child under 13 must contact the syndicate directly.
Minors aged 13–17 are guardian-managed: a profile is created but does not become public until the guardian’s consent has been recorded electronically and the syndicate has approved it. Guardian consent alone is never enough to publish a minor’s profile — the syndicate always has the final say. No private contact details of a minor are shown to anyone but syndicate staff, and measurement fields stay locked.
3. Your account and profile
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you confirm on your profile and for keeping your sign-in details confidential. You may not impersonate anyone or create a profile in someone else’s name without authorization. The professional information you display (such as credits and skills) must be truthful.
4. How your profile is built (AI assistance)
To make setup easy, we may generate an initial draft of the public and biographical parts of your profile from publicly available sources (such as your public online accounts) and the syndicate’s records. Every draft stays unverified until you approve it. The AI never invents private data: your height, measurements, private contact details and availability are only ever supplied by you. Your profile does not become public until you (or a minor’s guardian) approve it, and that approval is logged with a timestamp.
5. Membership and payment
Creating an account and a basic profile is free. A free profile is shown to the public as a shortened teaser. A yearly subscription (US$30 per year) unlocks your full profile and makes it fully visible in the registry and to casting directors. Billing is handled through the US entity Stryvia LLC (Delaware) via the payment provider Stripe. An alternative offline payment method (Whish, OMT, or cash at the syndicate) is also available for anyone who cannot pay by card.
Payment only unlocks the full profile and is entirely separate from syndicate verification. A subscription does not make you “verified” and does not oblige the syndicate to verify you; verification is a syndicate-controlled action. Subscriptions renew yearly, and the refund terms set out on the subscriptions page apply.
6. Casting directors and verification
A casting director sees no gated field (such as contact details or measurements) until the syndicate has verified their identity. Verification is a safety feature that protects members, not merely an onboarding step. Casting directors agree to use members’ data only for legitimate professional casting purposes; harvesting, resharing or any other use is strictly prohibited.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, for harassment or fraud, to gain unauthorized access to others’ data, to scrape data automatically, or to impersonate the syndicate. We may suspend any account that breaches these terms or endangers members’ safety.
8. Deletion and termination
You can request deletion of your profile and data at any time by contacting the syndicate (see the Privacy Policy). We may terminate or suspend access for breaches of these terms. On deletion we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, keeping only the minimum we are legally or financially required to retain (such as payment records).
9. Changes and governing terms
We may update these terms from time to time; an update takes effect when posted on this page, and the last-updated date appears at the top. The service is primarily directed at the syndicate’s members in Lebanon while billing runs through a US-registered entity, and the final details of jurisdiction and governing law apply as adopted by the syndicate and its legal counsel.
10. Contact
For any question about these terms or your account, contact the Syndicate of Actors in Lebanon using the contact details published on the “Contact” page.
