Privacy Policy

The party responsible for your data is the Syndicate of Actors in Lebanon, as the professional body operating the platform, supported by its technical partner which provides the infrastructure, hosting and billing. This policy applies to the digital registry and the casting platform.

Account data: your name, email, phone number and sign-in details. Public profile data: your stage name, photos, biography, skills, credits and clips. Gated professional data: contact details and measurements that are not shown to the public. Private data: shown only to you and syndicate staff. For minors we additionally collect the date of birth, guardian name, guardian email and relationship, all kept in a separate record accessible only to staff.

We use your data to build and display your profile, to let verified casting directors reach you for work, to manage your membership and subscription, and to contact you about your account. We do not sell your data, do not use your private fields for advertising, and do not log your personal data to system logs, analytics tools or third parties.

Every field on your profile has one of three visibility levels: “public” seen by everyone; “gated” seen only by verified casting directors, you and staff; and “private” seen only by you and staff. A free profile is shown publicly as a teaser, and a paid subscription unlocks your full profile. These levels are enforced in the database itself, not only in the interface, so a gated field can never reach a visitor or an unauthorized user.

We use an AI service to draft the public and biographical parts of your profile (including their translation into Arabic, English and French) from publicly available sources. Your private fields (such as measurements and private contact details) are never sent to the AI service, and no text is published until you approve it.

We rely on trusted providers to run the service: Stripe for payment processing (it handles payment data; we do not store your card numbers), Supabase for database hosting and storage, and Anthropic for the AI service that drafts public text only. Your private fields are not shared with the AI service. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy obligations.

No minor’s profile (13–17) is published until both the guardian’s consent and the syndicate’s approval have been recorded. A minor’s contact details are shown to no one but syndicate staff, measurement fields stay locked, and minors are excluded from any AI processing of private data. People under 13 may not self-register at all.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To make a deletion request (“right to erasure”), contact the syndicate using the contact details on the “Contact” page; we act on the request within a reasonable period, keeping only what we are legally or financially required to retain (such as payment records).

We apply technical controls to limit access to personal data, including enforcing visibility levels at the database level and verifying casting directors before any gated field is revealed. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we are committed to protecting your data in a manner appropriate to its sensitivity.
