Hayda Mish Film Masri (This Is Not an Egyptian Film) is a Lebanese theatre production staged at the Gulbenkian Theatre of the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut in April–May 2014. Adapted and directed by Lina Abyad, the play is a collective creation built from real testimonials of women from Lebanon, France, Pakistan, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, weaving four narratives around the theme of domestic abuse. Performed by LAU Communication Arts students, the production drew critical attention for its unflinching engagement with gender-based violence at a moment when the topic was gaining urgent public resonance in Lebanon.
