Al Thamania (The Eight) is a Saudi-Egyptian Arabic-language drama-thriller miniseries that premiered on Shahid VIP on 9 June 2022. Written by Turki Al-Sheikh and directed by Ahmed Medhat, the series follows Nasser, a wealthy businessman who has secretly worked for a criminal organisation as an arms dealer; when the gang attempts to eliminate him and kills those closest to him, he joins forces with a counter-crime unit officer to seek revenge and expose the network's far-reaching connections. Filmed across Egypt, Morocco and France, the eight-episode series stars Asser Yassin and Khaled El-Sawy in the leading roles, with Ghada Adel, Reem Mustafa, Mohamed Alaa, Mahmoud Al-Bezzawy, Lara Scandar, and Lebanese actress Natasha Choufani among the ensemble cast.
