General Assembly 2025

Beirut – The General Assembly of the Syndicate of Theater, Cinema, Radio and Television Actors in Lebanon was held, with quorum reached in the first session amid a large turnout reflecting growing union awareness.

The session opened with a moment of silence for departed actors, followed by a documentary summarizing the syndicate's recent work — from activities supporting the syndicate fund to meetings with the Ministry of Information and other official bodies.

Humanitarian efforts were highlighted, especially assistance to over 100 actors affected by the aftermath of the war. Actress Natasha Choufani presented the syndicate's new digital platform, which lets every member enter their information and works to reach directors and production companies.

Syndicate President Naameh Badawi announced that the "House of the Artist" project in Choueir is officially under way in collaboration with the municipality, and stressed enforcing the Audio-Visual Media Law — especially the production of at least one Lebanese drama series per year.

The session concluded with the council reaffirming its commitment to further professional and social gains and to safeguarding the dignity of the Lebanese actor.
